Gabrielle Stone grew up as the daughter of a “scream queen,” or actress starring in horror movies. Stone’s mother, Dee Wallace, is best known as the mom character in the famous Steven Spielberg movie ET. While Stone developed a career as a writer, actor, dancer, and director, her second act brought the most fame. Gabrielle Stone became a celebrity because of the twists and turns of her real life, which even the best scriptwriter couldn’t dream up. A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a 19-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left. The well-known actor, Ignacio, was born on 19 April 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, under the birth sign, Aries. Moreover, he belongs to mixed ethnicity and holds dual citizenship (Argentine - American). Please read the article until the end and know about his personal life. Let’s talk about the writing too. I get that she is not an author by trade, but seriously she should have hired a ghost writer or someone to edit the book beforehand. Because it is cringe worthy. It literally is a step by step account of her days traveling, but worse than a journal. It was all very, and then we did this, and then we did that, and then he said this, and then I ate that. There was no character development. In fact she would drop a friend’s name as if we are supposed to know who they are. But never introduced them into the book. The first few chapters hooked me. Who doesn’t love a women who filed for divorce before her husband gets home and watches him be served with them? Who doesn’t love that powerful female? The only person worse than her is Javier. He literally professes his love for her and then ditches her within a month. They’re both flighty, superficial, ridiculous, immature people who cannot operate even the most basic of relationships. Maybe I’ve just been exposed to unnaturally fascinating people in my life, but I cannot find anything remotely enjoyable in any single character in this book. Most of the booked focused on the 2 years following Eat, Pray, #FML & leading up to her life changing SEA trip. I felt every emotion Gabrielle felt, imagined being in the places Gabrielle described, and prayed for a happy ending. Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy-tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay home and be heartbroken, or go travel Europe for a month by myself. And staying at home heartbroken? F%*k. That. Third: Again, she is delusional. Every interaction she has with Javier seems fabricated and I actually rather read a book from his point of view. Essentially, it’s a diary about getting over heartbreak. It sounds like it was written by a teenager, and very little effort is put into describing anything besides how fat the author is getting, how the hot guys are who keep hitting on her, and how in love she is with her ex.

This is my first DNF of 2021. I really didn't enjoy this book. The funny thing is, I have no idea how this got on my TBR. I assumed my past self added it after wanting to read it, so I trusted my past self and just went for it when the audiobook was available. I'm starting to wonder if I somehow accidentally added this as I was scrolling because this didn't seem like a book I'd like very much, and it turns out I didn't. I do read a lot of genres and random books without knowing too much what they're about, so it's possible I thought the blurb sounded funny, but really if you've read the blurb you know what the first half of the book is about because most of it is very repetitive. Her use of colloquial language, her complaints about gaining weight while travelling (which is VERY normal or any girls interested in travelling - don’t feel bad about that), and her descriptions of partying and pining over her ex read like a mildly entertaining travel diary where she simply just blogs what she did, where she went, and who she met while she gets over a broken heart. If you have watched the critically acclaimed series, General Hospital, then you will probably know this actor, Ignacio Serricchio, aka Ignacio Ariel Serricchio, who played the role of Diego Alcazar in the series. Similarly, he has also appeared in other popular series such as The Young and the Restless and Witches of East End. I will give you just one example of the quality of writing in this book. Admittedly it is the worst line in the book, but why in the name of all that is literary would she leave this line in the book instead of edit it out? She is describing what sounds like an absolutely magical nightclub in Paris which is in an aquarium. A wall of glass stretches across most of the length of the club, and they have a woman dressed as a mermaid dive in periodically and swim with all the other sea creatures. Gabrielle's description of the club?

If you don’t want to feel emotion for a woman who wants to make sense of her life, this book is not for you. Gabrielle Stone dedicated much of her life to dancing, as well as learning the craft of acting. Stone starred in several films as an actress during her career, which spanned from 2006 to 2018. She also transitioned to writing and directing films too. Gabrielle captured the emotional rollercoaster of relationships, solo travel, and discovering yourself and she bares her soul in this book. The only thing I can say for this book is that it's one of those books that inspires you to write one yourself, because if something this trashy could be successful then surely you could do better. Gabrielle Stone’s mom, Dee Wallace, starred in the iconic film ET, directed by Steven Spielberg in 1982. Wallace continued her acting career and then transitioned into motivational speaking. How old is Gabrielle Stone? It’s a shame in my opinion because the story has a lot of potential for self-development and growth. She starts of describing what was truly an awful marriage and divorce. I have to say I admired her strength in the beginning, and I cheered her on when she met Javier and fell in love. It was once she started solo travelling, the book became immature, self-centred and honestly quite shallow. Instead of staying home heartbroken, Stone decided to travel through Europe alone and turn the lessons learned into a popular book. to summarize: “I can’t believe a guy I’m flirting with is confessing his love for me. This is so unexpected. I thought we were just friends!”The book began interesting enough. Gabrielle goes through a pretty typical cheating–turned–divorce situation and then, the next day after serving her husband divorce papers, meets a new man and falls immediately into a new relationship. Normal, rebound stuff. But this grown-ass adult woman who thinks that this is the ultimate love story is absolutely instantly obsessed with this man, starts planning her future with him, and then dumps her a month later. Not before inviting her on a month-long trip to Europe that he was already going on. Stone married at a young age into what she thought was a happy, lifelong union. Unfortunately, Stone’s husband unceremoniously divorced the multi-hyphenate performer, leaving her once again in a state of grief.

I don’t know who the author is, and I’m sure she’s not a bad person. But the book is so tone-deaf that I can’t fathom reading another one of her books. That being said, I wish her healing on her journey. Eat, Pray, #FML review conclusion Stone’s trademark straightforward style grabs your attention and fills you with confidence. Be prepared for some tough love and straight talk from Stone. While the topics are tough and Stone never flinches, the end goal is knowing yourself and following your dreams. The more I read the book, the more I hated the author. She seemed very shallow and obsessed with herself. She made multiple comments throughout the book about how all these men thought she was beautiful, incredible, cute. Like she needed her ego stroked? But she was still pining over Javier! I also felt like she was looking for sympathy. Each new person that she introduced to the book, she told them her story of her ex husband and Javier. Each person of course expressed sorrow yet told her how amazing she is and how much an idiot they both were. Like I said, she obviously had insecurities and needed reassurance constantly. But to continuously read the same thing over and over again was tiresome.Eat, Pray, #FML focuses on the romantic European getaway she was supposed to experience with her new, post-marriage romance. However, only 48 hours before she was sent to embark, that man became the second to massively disappoint Stone. Also, can we talk about that title? Really, “Eat Pray #FML”? I get that it’s a play on “Eat, Pray, Love”, but “FML” is such a dated term. So, it’s a cheeky parody of an old book mixed with an old, dated Internet slang reference. Cool. Very awkward. Modern memoirs are awkward as hell She takes us on a journey around Europe and the most description we get is about her social media posts and how F***ing inspiring she is. Wallace is now a motivational speaker, which also alludes to the future plans of her daughter, Gabrielle Stone. Growing up in the entertainment industry inspired Stone to enter this realm herself.
