Description

As a long time fan of Gorillaz, I enjoy watching, listening, and reading anything they come up with. Even if you haven't paid much attention to Gorillaz (or if you have no idea what, exactly, they are), I still strongly recommend getting this book. Thank you for preserving this excellent book - I have many great memories of checking this out from the library in high school over and over again and using it to piece together the lore behind a band I loved. Pages can include limited notes and highlighting, and the copy can include From the library of labels or previous owner inscriptions.

surface tear to lower front edge of DJ, a little surface rubbing wear and discoloration to edge and top of spine of DJ, some rubbing and light scratches to jacket, internally VG and unmarked. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Rise of the Ogre is an autobiography about the virtual band Gorillaz, ostensibly written by the four band-members in collaboration with (actual) Gorillaz musician and official scribe Cass Browne. It was first published on October 26, 2006 in the United Kingdom and later on November 2, 2006 in the United States.Brilliant history (fictional) of the band Gorillaz, for the really avid fans, packed full of gorgeous illustrations of the band by Jamie Hewlett. However, the audiobook remains incomplete, as only the first few chapters of the book were ever narrated.

But remember you love Kermit the Frog and Gonzo for them, not because it's Jim Henson and Frank Oz moving them. At the front of the book, there is a ‘Demon Disclaimer’ stating the information is not all true, ‘especially the stuff Murdoc says’.

The book details the life-stories of the band-members: Murdoc Niccals, 2-D, Russel Hobbs, and Noodle. You discover so many things about the band through a funny, well-written story and the illustrations are fabulous. The front cover of the book, when flipped sideways, is a silhouette of Murdoc Niccals' pet raven 'Cortez'. Featuring brand new art from and designed by Jamie Hewlett, this is the full story of Murdoc, 2-D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs for the first time. While I know most of the "real" background info on them, I much rather prefer to believe them as real people.
