Description

OBJECT OF RAT A TAT CAT: The object of Rat a Tat Cat is to be the player with the lowest score at the end of the game. The player on the dealer’s left begins the game and gameplay continues to the left around the group.

This game will help you connect with your older kiddos while making memories and giggling the night away. Sidenote: Both the captions and the photo reply cards in this game can be used as homeschool writing prompts. To begin the round, each player peeks at their two outer cards and tries to remember them (and then turns them face down again). All along, look out for peeks, swaps, and especially the chancy “wild” spots, where things could really get dicey! Parcels can take anywhere between 3-10 working days to be delivered in the exception of Public Holidays and any unforeseen delays. It’s pretty obvious I really like Rat-a-Tat Cat as a family/children’s game and would highly recommend it. Without looking at his cards, each player places his four cards face down in a line on the table in front of him. The player to the left of the dealer has the first turn, and play continues in a clockwise direction.

All that you’ll need to get all the basics including how to set up the card game is to check out our handy guide to the Rat a Tat Cat rules below. If a "Draw 2" card is drawn, the player then draws another card from the draw pile and may use this card as if it were a normal turn. The “peek” power card allows the player to peek at any one of their own cards (so you can see what you have in the middle without having to discard them in case they are actually good). Rat a Tat Cat takes elements from arguably the most popular card game (Poker) and simplifies the idea so that kids can learn about card skills such as bluffing. While Rat-a-Tat Cat isn’t the most educational game out there, it does still help kids learn things and build skills. They learn ways to remember their cards and strategies to figure out what cards other players might have.

Rat-a-Tat Cat is a memory card game designed by Monty and Ann Stambler [1] and published by Gamewright. or “I know I’m going to regret this” or “It seemed like a good idea at the time” or “That’s going to leave a mark” and each player selects her best photo for that round’s caption. If a player elects to grab the card from the discard pile, they MUST use it to replace one of their cards (either one of the two outer cards which they know the value of or one of the two unknown middle cards). If a player opts to draw the top card from the draw pile, they have the option to use it to replace any one of their cards in front of them or just discard it to the discard pile (if it isn’t a low number).

At that point, a player should know exactly which cards are in the draw pile, so they will know if they can reduce their score further (they will also know how many swap cards are in the draw deck).
