As the UK gears up to celebrate the King’s Coronation on May 6, the nation’s biggest supermarkets are getting in on the action. A life-sized bust of the King has been made from more than 17 litres of melted Celebrations chocolates amid the build-up to the coronation.

Chocolatier Jennifer Lindsey-Clarke had the honour of constructing the “tasty” creation, which was made using roughly 2,875 melted Celebrations chocolates. The piece was specially commissioned by Celebrations, who are also to launch a limited-edition coronation tub to mark the event, which will be available in select Tesco stores. Like many commented on at the time of her passing, Queen Elizabeth II had been a constant in so many people's lives. Not many people are still alive, who lived under the reign of her father, King George VI. I think the impact of her passing was felt considerably to us all due to this fact.
