Description

Possibly dating from 1969 when there was a different wrapper each day saying “Happy Monday”, “Happy Friday”, “Happy Weekend” etc. Monday’s bread was blue; Tuesday orange; Wednesday purple; Thursday green; Friday red, and Saturday yellow. I bought this so as to have an alternative to jam or marmalade and it tasted great in a sandwich, on toast, homemade scones or as a tart filling. It tasted nice and lemony and wasn't too sweet. It kept well in the fridge and I had to work really hard not to eat it all at once. It's good value for money and has a nice smooth texture.

In that single moment a warm glow takes over, allowing your mind to wonder. Simple never tasted so good! These lemon curd tarts are best served on the same day. If you want to enjoy them for longer you can put them in an air tight container and pop them in the fridge for a day or two. If you leave them for much longer than that the lemon curd is likely to make the pastry a bit soggy. Gales Lemon Curd is great for baking as well as making the perfect sweet tasting sandwich filler. This lemon curd is light and full of flavour, with a lovely smooth consistency.Add the egg to your mixing bowl then mix it all in until it starts to come together. If you need to, use your hands to bring it all together.

Using your fingers, rub the flour and butter together until it looks like breadcrumbs. My kids always enjoy this as they get to get their hands a bit messy. These are a great, easy bake for children to enjoy making. There are three different stages to the recipe – making the pastry, rolling and cutting the tart cases, then filling them – so even if your kids don’t help with everything there should be something they can do. Munchkins: they’re always hanging around for McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes. They’re driven round the twist by the light sponge, dark chocolate, and smashing Jaffa orangey bit. But I know how to bring them down to earth. Tip it on to a lightly floured work surface then knead it very briefly so it stops crumbling and comes together in a nice ball. As soon as it comes together, stop working it as you don’t want to over mix it.When it comes to lemon curd recipes, you need to use freshly squeezed lemons and lemon zest. There's just no other way about it! Trust me, you will tell the difference from a mile, store-bought juice just does not cut it. I haven't tried the other brands on here so I went for the cheapest and it turned out to be so good I haven't changed since. Almost impossible to find lemon curd in Italy. Well known in the spreads field, Gales have been a part of premier foods since 2004. Gales Lemon Curd is a long standing and popular product.
